 The Journey Food MakesTM is a software package that addresses the issues relating to childhood incontinence. Many children experience difficulty with toilet training. This may become a more serious problem however, when there is a physical or psychological cause for the difficulties.Developed with child psychologists, The Journey Food Makes is a package which explains this process to children in a way that makes it fun. The product is an animated cartoon designed for children of primary school age. It aims to educate children about what happens to food on its journey through the digestive system, by means of a story. The content is educational, and has the objective of improving children’s and parents’ understanding of the passage of food. The package also tackles the sometimes tricky subject of solid waste elimination. Secondary to the educational aspect, it introduces terminology of the human digestive system which can be shared between the child and therapist. The Journey Food Makes is a complete educational package which includes resources for both children and adults. For the children there is a cartoon on DVD, quiz sheets with corresponding answer sheets, and a sheet of small stickers, which can be used as rewards, reminders or used on incentive charts.
